As of 2015, students in Â鶹¹ÙÍø-approved programs have had the opportunity to make use of a CTE graduation pathway. To use the CTE 4+1 graduation pathway option, students must successfully complete an approved program (including a three-part technical skills assessment).
Approved programs lead to an industry-recognized credential, certificate or an associate or baccalaureate degree and offer:
- an opportunity to apply academic concepts to real-world situations,
- preparation for industry-based assessments or certifications;
- the opportunity to earn college credit or advanced standing while still in high school; and
- work-based learning opportunities where students demonstrate mastery of skills essential in the workplace.

Complete applications for re-approval of CTE programs to continue to be offered in the 2025-26 school year due to the Office of CTE. Please note incomplete applications will be returned. NEW Any issues identified by the Office of CTE must be resolved immediately. Failure to receive program re-approval from the Office of CTE by September 30, 2025, will result in a lapse in the program. Lapsed programs will be removed from the Â鶹¹ÙÍø-approved list and in Â鶹¹ÙÍø’s Information Reporting Services’ Level 2 data, resulting in student CTE data being blocked from SIRS reporting. These lapsed programs are not considered to be active, and therefore, they are not eligible to award the 4+1 CTE Pathway, integrated/specialized academic credit, and the technical endorsement beyond the 2024-25 school year. |
